Cocchi Americano Rosa - 75cl - 16.5% ABV

All Cocchi products still follow the original recipes formulated by Giulio Cocchi in 1891, with the same intention - to craft the distinctive wines that have made the Cocchi a cult name. Widely regarded as the original Aperitivo Americano, Giulio Cocchi is now inscribed in the National Register of the Historic Companies in Italy for its first 121 years of uninterrupted activity.

During its history, Cocchi has produced some variants to its Aperitivo Americano. The most recent is Cocchi Rosa produced with a base of red wines of Piedmont (a blend of two aromatic grape varieties, Brachetto and Malvasia) to which herbs and spices extracts are added, in particular gentian, cinchona, citrus zests and rose petals.

Serve it up with tonic for a low ABV, deliciously fresh drink.

NEGRONI ADVICE -

With it's zesty fresh and rose top notes, Cocchi Rosa is a fantastic alternative for when you are looking for a lighter sweet vermouth to use alongside a more subtle, delicate gin (especially when you also choose Aperol over Campari).

If you want to try something different, pair it with a herbal, savoury gin like Fisher's and use Pampelle as the bitters.
