Fever-Tree goes as far as the Congo, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Tanzania and Sicily to source the best ingredients for their range of premium natural mixers. Their Tonic Water uses the highest quality quinine blended with spring water and boasts a total of eight botanical flavours which include ingredients such as marigold extracts and bitter orange. No artificial sweeteners, preservatives or flavourings are added to the mix at any stage of the production. It’s impressive.

Fever Tree Aromatic Tonic is based upon an account of an expedition to Australia that took place between 1801 and 1803. In it, angostura bark was distributed alongside quinine as a tonic to sailors to help fight fevers.
As time passed, Angostura bark was usurped by Angostura bitters, and like some sort of wayward Mary Poppins the Royal Navy would encourage sailors to sup this remedy by adding it to their daily gin rations, in the process birthing one of history’s most longstanding cocktails – the Pink Gin.
There’ s a huge, bubbling effervescence here and a hint of sweetness, though the Aromatic Tonic is far dryer than its counterparts. The flavour profile is neutral enough to let many gins to shine, but it was really designed with classic, juniper-forward gins in mind.
