A classically made liqueur made from blackberry juice, Giffard's Creme De Mure stands out on shelves for its deep purple colour.
In the glass however it's all about the heady aromas of fresh fruit puree and jam. It's round and pleasant to taste, where the spirit carries the freshness of the fruit well. The aromatic notes of the blackberry start to develop fully before a slight bitterness on the finish.
You can use it as an aperitif with a dry white, rosé or sparkling wine but we reach for it most frequently for its essential use in a Bramble.
