Based in Aberdeen, Porter’s Gin is the brainchild of bartending stalwarts Ben Iravani and Alex Lawrence, as well as their friend Josh Rennie.
Tropical by name, tropical by nature! Porter’s Old Tom Gin stays true to the genre’s sweetened style, this time combining with exotic botanicals for a full explosion of flavour.
The liquorice and almond that are used in the distillation help to add depth to the mouthfeel but overall, the impression is of a classic juniper base that’s lifted by passion fruit, guava and white tea, which are cold-distilled to retain their juicy freshness.
Serve with Indian tonic water and some pineapple for a tropical G&T, or in a Dry Martini with a zest of orange.
